Apricot nectar, citrus, and coconut offer a fleeting sweetness, softened by the warmth of clove and black pepper that lingers just beneath the surface. It feels inviting at first, like surrendering to sleep after a long night, the gentle pull toward something beautiful and consuming. Yet there is an unease woven through the composition from the very beginning, a reminder that not every dream is benevolent and not every devotion is returned with kindness.
At its heart, lavender blooms beside vanilla orchid and ambrette, inspired by the associations between lavender and the gods of sleep in mythology and how it helps with actual sleep. But here the note is transformed. Cedar, patchouli, vetiver, and dark balsamic woods pull it away from innocence and into something deeper, reflecting the complicated bond between Vessel and Sleep woven throughout the band's lore. Amber glows beneath the shadows, beautiful enough to tempt, yet never fully dispelling the darkness.
