Erinyes (The Furies) Perfume Oil
Black/Red, Bloodstone
Top: Grapefruit, Orange Peel, Lemon Peel, Clove, Bergamot
Middle: Green Leaves, Lemon Verbena, Orange, Lemon, Mandarin, Pomegranate, Rose, Lavender, Labdanum
Base: Vetiver, Cedar, Leather, Tobacco Leaves, Amber
———
Sharp grapefruit and bitter citrus peels strike like the first cry of judgment carried on the wind, fierce and unrelenting beneath the pursuit of the Erinyes as they rise from the shadows to punish oathbreakers and the blood-guilty. Clove and bergamot burn through green leaves, rose, lavender, and dark pomegranate at the heart of the fragrance, balancing beauty with dread like sacred rites stained by vengeance and grief. Vetiver, cedar, leather, tobacco leaves, and amber settle heavily into the base with the weight of ancient temples and smoking torches, lingering like footsteps echoing behind those the Furies have marked for retribution.

The Erinyes, also known as the Furies, are ancient Greek deities of vengeance and retribution. They are typically depicted as fearsome female spirits with serpentine hair, bloodshot eyes, and a relentless pursuit of justice. The Erinyes are associated with avenging wrongs, particularly those involving familial or moral transgressions, such as murder and betrayal. They arise from the blood of Uranus, castrated by his son Cronus, and are known for their unyielding and punitive nature. Their role in Greek mythology emphasizes the consequences of sin and the importance of maintaining moral and social order.
